Ok, so this chair was in our upstairs sitting room and covered in a dull green, burgandy, and yellow stripe. We decided to bring it downstairs and recover it. This is a chair that I grew up with. It always reminded me of a king's chair or something. We decided on this beautiful teal velvet trimmed in nickel nailheads. I love, love it. The nailheads really make the chair feel special.
We originally had just a wing back chair paired with the sofa in the sitting room when you first walk in the front door. We decided to move the low profile rocking chair in this space and pair it with another low profile chair. I went to the antique stores in Nolensville in search of one. I found a barrel back, cane chair that had mauve old fabric. After recovering and throwing a cowhid pillow with it, here is what we came up with.
I love this green color. The olive is just so beautiful. The cowhide pillow came from the booth at the flea market that sells cow hide rugs. I tried a cow hide rug in this space, but it felt like we had a new roommate so it had to go.
So, we were making some progress.
